Registration will be in CP151

To better evaluate each candidate, we ask every Leader to complete this application in its entirety. This includes the following:
Primary Information Form This application requests basic information (Full name, Panther ID, phone number etc.). Towards the end of the application you will be prompted to enter your course selection. Please plan this out well when planning your Fall schedule. We require that you choose six time slots. Time slot selection is based on a first come first serve basis and on time slot availability, you will be assigned TWO of your six requests. You must select a group discussion/prep-meeting session for the PLTL session you wish to lead. For example, you must be able to attend BSC1010 group discussion in order to lead a BSC1010 PLTL session.
Class Schedule Please have your schedule planned out around academics. Keep in mind that PLTL runs during midterms and finals. Substitutes: If for any reason you require a substitute for your session, please adhere to the following procedure: It is your responsibility to find an adequate substitute for your session. The substitute must be another PLTL leader for the same course (i.e. if you need a sub for BSC1010, a PCB3063 leader cannot sub your session). Once a substitute has been arranged for, you will notify the PLTL staff via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 1 week in advance. You will send a reminder e-mail by the day before your session, no later than 12 PM in the afternoon. Please attach your class schedule in the format provided by PantherSoft, to export click on “View My Class Schedule” in PS. Please notify us of any schedule changes via e-mail Please only turn in your class schedule in the default PDF format as provided by PantherSoft All leaders are responsible to cover atleast two PLTL sections. (Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis).
Transcript You must earn either an A or B in the course for which you plan to lead. An unofficial transcript is acceptable, you can print one out through my.fiu.edu (PDF Format)
Group Discussion Leaders and Supervisors must go to weekly MANDATORY group discussions, meaning you will NOT run a session without first attending the group discussion meeting. Every question will be covered in the group discussion. This semester leaders will have to sign-up for the group discussion that they will attend. Leaders will attend these group discussions like any other class, every week. If there is a significant amount of leaders not being able to attend these scheduled times another meeting may be added to the schedule. Do not rely on another discussion time being opened because most likely it will not. Rooms where the meetings will take place are TBA. When scheduling, please be advised that leaders are expected to attend EVERY session, EVERY week! When making an obligation to PLTL, academics should be considered prior to selecting a session.
PLTL Leader Contract This agreement will be signed at the first Group Discussion.
